Oh my goodness, where do I even begin?! To think that someone out there would use their own women & children as sacrifices just to further their cause and wipe out a large chunk of the world, is just beyond anything that my mind can comprehend! Yet I know it's entirely possible and that these people would have no problem doing just that. I am loving this series, can't read it fast enough, yet it is scaring the living daylights out of me!!! And as with any good series, each book ends in a cliffhanger and I was not expecting this one to end as abruptly and where it did. Bobby, you've got to hurry & crank out the next one!!! Don't keep us in suspense all summer!!! The only bad thing about the series for me is I feel completely helpless because this really could be upon us without us knowing and really how do you prepare for something you can't even see? I would love to be able to protect myself and my family, but the reality for me is just that we're going to have to go about life and hope for the best and pray. But this 2nd installment in a so-far great series is another winner for Bobby & I really can't wait to see where he's going to take us for the rest of the series!
Never underestimate the depravity of man. To use women and children in the name of God to kill is mindboggling. What kind of religion would do such a thing? This book is scary on so many levels. Mentally. Physically. It isn't a question of IF---- it is WHEN. The author, who is a master storyteller is scaring the dodo out of me. I could not put the book down......but I have to in order to purchase bullets, beans and band aids, also boards for my windows, a six foot high fence with barbwire, respirators and hazmat suits.That being said. What an excellent medical thriller.
As we saw in book one of this series Beginnings, the world is being overcome by a disease so savage that it does not discriminate between any race. Culture, sex or age. All those who come in contact with an infected person will die! The pneumonic plague is one of the oldest and dangerous diseases ever to come into being and it is on its way to killing most of the world’s population with no cure or vaccine in sight!I am absolutely loving this series! Bobby Akart with his brilliant writing is taking us through the steps of what “could†happen to our world. His writing shows the depth of his research to bring us not just an entertaining story but information on what to do in the event we do face a pandemic in order to survive. The characters might not be real but seem to be and come to life on the pages. As many work to come up with a solution to the pandemic, people are dying by the thousands. Who will survive and will there be a last minute Hail Mary? You will have to read this outstanding story for yourself to find out the answers and I can tell you that you won’t be sorry! This is a series that I am recommending to all my friends and family without any hesitation.
The second book in Bobby Akart's Pandemic series does not disappoint. As the Pandemic grows you see how our government responds and how the medical community is not prepared for something as devastating as this kind of terrorist attack that can bring a country to it's knees. The Innocents should open everyone's eyes to how government polices can endanger the whole nation and the whole world. The Innocents is a real wake up call. I have read everyone of Bobby's books, The Boston Brahmin series, The Blackout Series, The EMP, Economic Collapse and Cyber Warfare single books, as well as his excellent history of our founding fathers in "Seeds of Liberty". All were excellent and will leave anyone who reads them with an understanding of what can happen to bring our great country to it's knees. They also will show how we, as a people, can fight back and survive. With Bobby's latest series Pandemic the question is will we be able to fight back. A modified plague sweeps the world and it is up to two brave scientists and a dedicated warrior to find a cure. The first book in the series Beginnings shows how this pandemic starts, The Innocents takes you down the path that could lead to the extinction of the human race as we know it. The action never stops in The Innocents and you will find it impossible to put down until your finished. I recommend The Innocents as well as all of Bobby Akart's books to anyone who wants to know how to survive in a dangerous world, how to protect your family and loved ones and how to prepare for what could well be coming. Can't wait for the rest of the series!!!!
I have read almost all this author's books, and love them all. The Boston Brahmin series was my favorite, but after reading this book, and only being 2 book's into the series and with 2 more left to go, I think i can honestly say this series is gonna be hard to beat. Bobby Akart, you hit a grand slam with this one. This book was amazing, and left me on the edge of my seat , and I cant wait until the next one. The characters, the details, the whole story line keeps you really in the book from start to finish. I couldn't put it down once I started it. This book and series is worth a whole lot more than 5 stars. Awesome, job, and congrats on another hit series.
Another great book from Bobby Akart. This series is about my most feared post apocalyptic event...a virus. I started prepping after reading Mr. Akart's Brahmin series. Two books into this series and I have identified and added several items I forgot. This is a very believable event presented in a frightening manner. I read it straight through to the exclusion of all other chores. Biting my nails waiting for the next in the series.
