The Shimmigrant is such a good read and has something in it for everyone. Several aspects of it will resonate with many immigrants or those who are familiar with the hard working immigrants who surround us. The exposure to life of the average person in Kumasi and the plight of maids was very enlightening. I highly recommend Shimmigrant.

Absolutely enjoyed it! A wonderful, insightful read, from this new Author. The story of an young female immigrant’s journey from Ghana to America. Author did a wonderful review of the culture and lifestyle of an Ashanti polygamous family , and the hope placed in a family member to bring honor , and financial stability to her family after she makes it to the States.Will definitely be buying copies for my friends!Congratulations Marjy Marj!
